Which DPI should you use to convert PDF to JPG?
Use 150 DPI for screens, 300 DPI for printing, and 600 DPI only when you need to zoom into fine detail. DPI (dots per inch) sets how many pixels are drawn per inch of the PDF page, so higher values give sharper images and larger files.

Pixel sizes assume a US Letter page (8.5 × 11 in). A 600 DPI Letter page is about 34 megapixels, so on an older phone or laptop start with 300 DPI.
Should you choose JPG or PNG?
Choose JPG when you want smaller files, especially for photos and scanned pages. Choose PNG when you need lossless quality for sharp text and line art. The converter offers both, and the JPG quality slider runs from 30% to 98% so you can balance detail against file size.

JPG, also written JPEG, is a lossy image format that shrinks files by discarding fine detail. A good starting point for most documents is JPG at 300 DPI with quality set between 85% and 90%.
Is it safe to convert a PDF to JPG online?
